I think there are several of both. For money identification, I like Looktell Money reader. it costs $9.99 but is worth it. I don't know about color id though. Sorry.

yeah, I use look tell money reader and it's really good, I think the good color one I use the actually serious one is called aid colors. and you can also use tap tap see as well, useful little thing.

cool i downloaded look tell don't have any cash on me right now so can't test it yet lol. however tap tap see is pritty cool it describes everything perfectly. question however does somebody actually see what your taking picctures of then answer or is it computerized. it seems pritty freaky if its a person lol. i looked for aid colors and the app store didn't find any results maybe its another name? either way tap tap see does a pritty good job of describing colors.

I'm pretty sure tap tap see is viewed. I know it posts the warnings of what not to photgram etc. I know someone who broke the rules and received a warning so someone is looking at something at one point in time.

No, tap tap see is managed and used via a database. A smart database, at that. One which has many descriptions and likenesses stored Certain images or likenesses are also stored and flagged as inappropriate. So that's how they know.

Question, are you sure there isn't some croud sourcing going on?

Dagne is right. In my phone, aidColors is one word, and the C is capitalized, but the a at the beginning is not. I love the LookTell Money Reader app. Haven't used TapTapSee a whole lot yet, but plan to. Heard great things so far.

Yes, it's excellent. pretty accurate, not as good as another eye, obviously, but at least it actually helps. The descriptions are pretty accurate, but I find it likes to focus on only certain aspects of a picture, which can sometimes be a bother, but oh well, it's not a human mind or eye either. useful really.

I haven't used mine too too much either, just sometimes take it out to be random and play around on it.

Tap tap see is very specific it you take a great picture of something. So in otherwords, the details it reveals depend on how good the picture is in the first place. We, as blind people tend to take worse pictures than the sighties, obviously, so that's why sometimes the pic description is a little less accurate. When my sighted mom took a picture of my baby and I, it said" Small boy wearing a blue tough guy t shirt being held by young woman with long, blonde hair". quite literally. lol

You're both right. TapTapSee uses both crowd sourcing an object recognition databases to give you the info it does. Don't flash your phone or photograph any genitals, and you should be fine. LOL. As for people seeing the pictures, it's no less freaky than you uploading a photo to a server, period. Basically, if you don't want someone looking at whatever you're taking a picture of, don't use apps like that.
